Si usted esta buscando un refugio porque está con una familia que no es capaz de seguir apoyándole, o si esta buscando refugios que necesiten su ayuda.

Acerca De Este Sitio – Este Sitio Web fue creado en respuesta a la necesidad de un lugar centralizado para los evacuados, familias buscando reunirse, y la gente que trabaja para asistirlos.

El llamado nace cuando el huracán se desata, “Hay gente colocando mensajes en diferentes lugares en Internet, en sitios de noticias, y en registros de personas desaparecidas.

Necesitamos un registro centralizado y lo necesitamos rápido”.

Miembros de la comunidad de Joomla! Open Source, reconocieron la necesidad y se movilizaron rápidamente para desarrollar este sitio.

Este pequeño equipo de voluntarios, muchos de ellos desarrolladores de software, diseñadores gráficos y diseñadores Web, de diversas partes del mundo han trabajado muchas horas tomando tiempo valioso del desarrollo de sus propios sitios para colaborar en este proyecto.

Hemos añadido una Base de Datos de la Morgue a nuestras facilidades de Búsqueda.

Integración del Sitio WebEl equipo de desarrollo, creó aplicaciones Web capaces de habilitar otros sitios con la posibilidad agregar ligas directas para la búsqueda dentro de este sitio.

A su vez, se abrió el soporte de Feeds RSS para que la gente pudiera leer las noticias desde los lectores de RSS, directamente (y también, poder los sitios externos, habilitar la lectura de las noticias de forma directa).

A su vez, se hizo accesible la base de datos a través de teléfonos celulares. (presionar en Promoción del Sitio para más información.)

Según sabemos, esta es la primera vez que se crea un sitio unificado para asistir en momentos de un desastre, que obtiene información de diversas fuentes, y las muestra en un solo lugar, fácilmente accesible, y centralizado.

El equipo de voluntarios de la Comunidad Open Source ha puesto cientos de horas de trabajo en este sitio una semana luego del huracán. Incluso antes del lanzamiento oficial, ya recibíamos contactos de familias que se habían reunido gracias a este sitio.
